I didn’t plan to make two versions of these socks in the same pattern. My original idea was just for what turned out to be the Scrappy version. I love making socks where I can use small amounts of leftover yarn or mini skeins. But as soon as I cast the first sock of it on, I immediately thought that these socks deserved to have a second version where the pattern just kept going. So that’s how the Continuous version came to be.
For the Continuous version, I grabbed some leftover self-striping yarn, and I really like the effect. But I always encourage you to play around with color! Change the amount of CCs to fit what you have. Make the Scrappy version, but just use one or two CCs. Make the Continuous version, but use many CCs. There are endless possibilities!
For the special stitch used, a written description as well as a link to a video tutorial is included in the pattern.
