Giana Pocket Shawl is a knit pocket shawl pattern worked flat in garter stitch on bulky weight yarn, sized at 60 inches long by 16 inches wide. The afterthought pockets are knit as separate 8” x 8” squares and sewn on wherever your wingspan lands, so the fit is truly your own. Garter stitch throughout makes this a beginner’s first shawl worth reaching for season after season.
Construction and technique

• Gauge: 10 sts x 22 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch
• Notions: tapestry needle for seaming pockets; stitch markers optional
