The ButterflyLove pdf Giant Activated Platelet (Thrombocyte) knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions to make your own phlobotomist’s treat. If following the recommended tension the finished plush should be approximately 5.25 inches (13.5cm) high, excluding its dendrites.

What you will need:

2 knitting needles (US5/3.75mm or as per tension advice)
100g purple chunky yarn (e.g. Stylecraft Special Chunky 1084 ‘Magenta’)
Two black toy safety eyes (15mm)
Polyfil toy stuffing
1 tapestry needle for finishing

Skills used: Casting on and off, Increasing and Decreasing, Picking up stitches, Grafting

Stitches used: Stocking stitch
