A chunky, thick knit scarf with some simple, but effective, cable detailing. Awesome fringe optional.
This is one of the most cozy scarves I have ever made. It can be worn as a scarf or shawl, wrapped around like a giant cowl, worn as a hood in case of unexpected thunderstorms, or used as a blanket in a pinch. By using 3 strands of worsted weight yarn held together instead of only one strand of something bulkier, it creates a nice heavy fabric with lovely drape. The silkier the yarn the better for this scarf. It has three simple cables running the entire length, and ribbing and slipped stitches create a nice, clean selvedge edge.
The finished piece measures 85” long and 14” wide without fringe.
