This was the cowl project for the Gilmore Girls – A Year in the Life MKAL! I am a huge Gilmore Girls super-fan ever since I originally watched the show in college. When I heard that Netflix was bringing back the show for an all-new season (with the original creator/writers), I was over the moon! I KNEW I had to design something for a MKAL and immediately got to work dreaming up accessories.

What would Lorelai and Rory wear in 2016? Being as stylish as they were, I am guessing they would wear cozy, loopy cowls, and fun accessories with their ever-chic and colorful wardrobe. So that’s exactly what we are making! I’ve tied in some gorgeous fall colors of the northeast, for a little piece of Stars Hollow. I hope you enjoy kitting what I’ve cooked up!

I’ve partnered with Lorajean of Knitted Wit yarns to create a special kit just for this MKAL. The yarn-only kit contains 2 skeins of scrumptious Aran-weight yarn (about 360 yards) in a color inspired by birch trees, and 4 mini skeins in gorgeous fall-leaf colors. The town of Stars Hollow was the inspiration for this color palette with it’s quaint small-town New England charm, and of course the fall foliage.
