Gina the Hyena
Gina the Striped Hyena made her debut to the menagerie as one half of the TOFT mystery crochetalong in 2018. Hyenas are a misunderstood creature, viewed as dangerous, destructive and even as grave robbers according to some superstitions. However, these striped scavengers are intelligent, caring animals that usually avoid contact with other wildlife. This crochet hyena is perfect for those who have begun to get a grip of the beginner patterns in the Edward’s Menagerie collection and are now looking to upgrade their skills.
This soft toy will look at home in the nursery, sitting on the shelf or lovingly gift-wrapped for the loved ones in your life. Once you’ve finished crocheting Gina the Striped Hyena, you’ll be ready to start the next animal in the collection with this addictive new hobby!
TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. Share your progress with the TOFT community on Instagram @toft_uk using the #edsanimals hashtag.
