Ginepro” takes its name from the lovely Ginepro beach on the island of Elba, where the dark rocks are covered with yellow juniper bushes.

Ginepro” is a semi-circular shawl, worked from tip to tip. It is knit in garter stitch in two contrasting colors, using the Intarsia technique to create a reversible lace border. The zig zag lace border mimics the sea waves lapping on the shore and the eyelets bring to mind the berries of the juniper bush. An I-cord border gives structure and stability to the shawl.
