This diamond gingham washcloth pattern creates a jumbo sized wash cloth, measuring 12” x 12”. The design features diamond gingham colorwork, made by carrying 3 yarn strands across the pattern.

The stitching itself is fairly straightforward and is made up of double crochets - the diamonds of the pattern are formed using 3dctog and 3dc in the same stitch.

MATERIALS:

  • Weight 3 yarn (I recommend Knit Picks Dishie or a similar cotton yarn). You will need 3 yarn colors. The pattern is written as using Color A, Color B, and Color C. Yardage will be (72, 50, 50) yds, respectively.
  • 3.75mm crochet hook (or hook needed to meet gauge)
  • scissors and tapestry needle to cut & weave in ends

SKILL LEVEL: Adventurous beginner. While I don’t recommend this as someone’s first pattern, I believe if you are able to master the double crochet and 3dctog, you can tackle this pattern!
