Girlang Light is a lighter sister to Girlang (DK) – another pattern in the book.

Girlang Light is an airy and simple tailored Ziggurat pullover with an elegant leafy garland on the yoke and cuffs.

This is a Ziggurat with a small twist. You knit the collar first and then cast on and knit each shoulder in turn.
It is also an opportunity to try out stranded colourwork if this is something you have been contemplating but not yet jumped into.

The pattern sleeve length is 7/8-length. Sigiwu chose to make a more summery short-sleeved t-shirt. Conversely, you could knit full-length sleeves, of course.

• Ziggurat: everything is knitted in one go, top to bottom
• no seaming
• very few ends to weave in
• simple colourwork garland on yoke & sleeves
