The Glacier Mobius Cowl is a luxurious striped cowl that transforms hand-dyed merino, silk and kid mohair into the perfect showcase for colorful yarn. The cowl’s tubular construction, sewn together with a half twist, creates a double warm fabric with a faux mobius effect that hugs your neck!

This cowl is knit in a long tube, given a half twist, and joined with the Kitchener stitch. No need to weave in any ends as they are all enclosed in the tube.

This cowl uses a double strand of lace weight kid mohair and silk with one strand of merino and silk in alternating five-row bands. The cowl uses 458 yards of Isle of Skye (kid mohair and silk douled) and 230 yards of Iona (merino and silk) or San Juan (superwash merino and nylon). If you are making a cowl using only one strand of each yarn, it will take 230 yards of each yarn.
