Inspired by classic Gansey stitch patterns, these socks are interesting, but not fussy, and suitable for a man or woman. I’ve named them after Gladys Thompson, a knitting author and historian who in 1955 published the very important Guernsey and Jersey patterns. Two versions are provided for these socks—top down and toe up. Make one of each to avoid knitting the same sock twice.
