The Gleipnir shawl is part of the beautiful and unique knitting book named Sjaler Nordfra in Danish and Nordic Shawls in English.
The book has 18 gorgeous shawls designed by Karen S. Lauger, inspired by the wild Nordic nature and the stories of the creatures that live there.

Gleipnir is the chain binding Fenris until Ragnarok. The chain is thin and soft as a silken rope, yet stronger than any iron chain.
The dwarves forged Gleipnir from the sound of a cat’s footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a mountain, the tendrons of a bear, the breath of a fish, and the spittle of a bird.
