Knitworthy 5
The collection features 8 patterns intended to make good gifts for everyone on your knitworthy list (because life’s too short to knit for anyone who doesn’t love what you make). Patterns from the collection will be sold individually on the 17th of December.
Gliondar
An easy, fun ribbed hat that’s very wearable. One strand of yarn is used with small needles for a neat ribbed band. A second colour is then added and the two are knit together on much larger needles in a simple slipped stitch rib pattern that’s wonderfully warm and lofty. There are lots of possibilities for colour play using this marled technique — high and low contrast combinations can be equally effective. The hat is long enough to be worn slouchy or with the brim folded up. Decreases are worked rapidly at the crown, creating a gathered effect. It’s a great option for any gift recipient who will be pleased to receive something that looks like it could have been store bought.
