Vintage pattern, circa 1941, for men’s gloves knitted flat on two needles; after knitting the gloves are seamed up the side of the hand and each finger.

The Piecework article includes a scanned image of the original pattern from the booklet along with notes from Ann Budd on how she knit the pattern using contemporary yarn.

Original pattern calls for “2 oz. of W.B. Melody Knitting Wool 4-ply ; a pair of No. 11 Stratnoid knitting pins.”

Ann Budd recreated the gloves using 2 skeins of Quince & Company’s Chickadee, colorway: Robin’s Egg, on size 2 needles.
