Gnot Without My Gnome Scarf
This pattern was originally published as For Yarn’s Sake’s contribution to the 2026 Rose City Yarn Crawl, March 5-, 2026 in Portland, Oregon. This pattern is also available for download as part of the 2026 Pattern Collection: Mythical Creatures.
It gets chilly in Grimblewood. And Gnolan really loves a warm scarf. Not just any scarf, though, as he’s quite the fashionista among his fellow gnomes. A little lace, and some bling. Perfecto!
We’ve designed a lovely lattice and lace scarf in both a human and gnome version. Beginning with a lacey rib stitch, the scarf evolves into a long section of lattice work framed by the lacey rib on either side. Narrow and long, the human version can be folded in half with the ends tucked through, or wrapped multiple times around your neck. And the matching gnome version dresses up your favorite gnome.
Sarah Schira (Imagined Landscapes) is the master designer of gnomes. Visit her website www.imaginedlandscapes.com to see all the design possibilities. Her book, The Gnomes of Grimblewood is a must have for every gnome enthusiast. We chose to dress up Gnolan the Swirly Gnome (one of the designs in Sarah’s book), as well as Gnorton (Choose Your Gnome Adventure, available for purchase on Ravelry).
Please note – gnome pattern is not included; sold separately on Ravelry, the Imagined Landscapes website, and as part of The Gnomes of Grimblewood.
