You remember Go Dog Go, the first book many children learn to read? There is a section that repeats several times throughout the book:
“Do you like my hat?”
“I do not like your hat!” And the final response
“I do! What a hat! I like it”
My sisters and I have often ask each other “Do you like my hat?” and that is what kept running through my head while knitting this slouchy hat. I’m sure if I asked either of them, the answer would be “I do! I like it!”
