This bold hat embodies the spirit of the American Flag. Incorporating an i-cord border and jogless stripes, the hat is knit completely in stockinette stitch for a quick project. I did not measure how much of each skein was used to make the hat, but I believe you can easily get 3 hats out of just one skein of each color.

Please note, red yarn often bleeds! I used Imperial Yarn’s Erin (the same yarn Ralph Lauren used in the infamous Opening Ceremonies Sweater) for my hat. I made sure to make a striped swatch out of the red and white yarns, wet it completely, then hung it to dry to test the color-fastness of the red yarn. It worked perfectly! However, I suggest that everyone do the same with any yarn they are using - including Imperial Yarn Erin.
