Go Your Own Way
Never break the chain by making the biggest shawl you can!
This easy pattern includes a universal chart. It is written in UK terms.
You Will Need:
King Cole Embrace DK, 60% Nylon, 40% Acrylic, 100g/245m/267yds, 6 balls in Ruby
6mm hook (J-10)
Abbreviations:
st(s) stitch(es)
sp(s) space(s)
ch chain
ch-sp chain space
sl st slip stitch
dtr double treble (US tr)
tr treble (US dc)
rep repeat
beg beginning
Finished size: Approx 55 x 136 inches ( 140 x 346cm)
As this is a large shawl, you may need to add or subtract a few rows to take your height into account. I am 5 foot, 8 inches and you can see that it sweeps my ankles.
King Cole Embrace is a fluffy yarn, you can use any DK you fancy to make this shawl. If you’re an absolute beginner, you may find using a less fluffy yarn a bit easier to navigate. This stuff won’t frog!
