Going Out with a Bag
Pattern description from Stitch ‘N Bitch Nation: “Swinging insouciantly from the wrist, this bag is the perfect size to hold your essentials when you’re out for a night on the town or rearing it up on the dance floor. The pattern I give here can be varied endlessly. You can change the size or shape, use the leftover yarn in your stash, pick funky colored zippers, string buttons on it instead of beads, use ribbon for the wrist strap, add a fabric lining, or any other variation you can think of. Really, make this project yours! It knits up quickly and makes a great gift. And you never have to worry about the fit. Instructions for the pink colorway are followed by instructions for the black colorway in parentheses. Where there is only one number, it applies to both bags.”
Size:
- Finished width: 5”
- Finished length: 4”
Special Instructions from Stitch ‘N Bitch Nation: “To string beads with a helper thread: Thread the needle with thread as normal, then thread the needle from the opposite direction to create a loop of thread. Thread B yarn through the thread loop and string the beads using the needle and thread to get the beads on the B yarn. Once the beads are on the B yarn, separate the yarn from the thread.”
