The Golden Sparrow Shawl is named
for the golden-crowned sparrows that
migrate back to Northern California
every fall from British Columbia and
Alaska. It’s a top down, triangular
shawl that’s worked from a garter tab
cast-on. The main section of the shawl is
worked in a garter slip stitch that is easy
to memorize and relaxing to knit. Small
cables are worked in the contrasting
color yarn section to portray these
sweet, small birds making their journey
south.

Note regarding yarn amounts:
This shawl is designed to use 3 full skeins,
so please be aware of gauge. If your gauge is
larger than intended, you may need to
compensate by knitting fewer repeats in
order to have enough yarn to complete the
shawl.
