This is a pattern to create a felted head cover for a standard golf iron club.

Having soft covers on your golf club iron heads prevents them from banging up against your other clubs’ shafts and scratching them. The big numbers on the covers also make it easier to grab the right iron for the next golf shot, too!

Trims may include Fun Fur, glue on embellishments, or contrasting edgings. Features:

  • Strong and soft material
  • Can be made in a variety of colors
  • Iron-on applique numbers can be purchased or you can embroider your own

This pattern will fit a traditional iron . Adjust the size through the felting process to fit oversized irons. It is best if you have a golf iron on which to dry the cover to ensure a good fit.

This pattern requires felting and creates a flat cover for your irons. If you’re interested in a knitting pattern for a non-felted iron cover, see my other iron cover pattern which creates a 3-dimensional cover without felting.
