Gooseberry Cardigan is a simple and slightly A-line shaped cardigan with an edge of gooseberries and leaves around the entire bottom edge of the body. The cardigan is worked from the bottom up using either 1 strand of Heavy Merino or 1 strand of Merino + 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout.

First, the charted gooseberry edge is worked back and forth. Afterwards, stitches for the body are picked up and the body worked back and forth up to the underarms. Sleeves are then worked in the round from the bottom up before body and sleeves are joined on one needle. Yoke is shaped with raglan decreases and the neckline shaped with German short rows. Seed stitch edges finish the neckband and cuffs, mirroring the button bands.

Please note that seed stitch is the same as British moss stitch.

The leaf and berry stitch pattern is charted only.
