I live in the suburbs of the nation’s capital near a creek. Occasionally, Canada geese stop by my home to pay a visit. I captured a photo of a pair on my roof last year. This yoked pullover is a tribute to the goose that was determined to lay her eggs in my front yard. The brioche yoke pullover is a bottom-up construction, knitted in the round. The body and sleeves are knit in an all-over cable and lace pattern. The cuffs, hem, and neck edge have a 2-row garter stitch edging. The pullover can be knit with a worsted weight yarn or a strand of DK yarn and mohair held double throughout. The inspiration for the garment is a nesting goose.
