Grace Pillow
This indoor/outdoor pillow pattern was inspired by one of my most popular sweater designs, the #gracepullover. The sweater pattern was originally published in Issue 8 of Laine, a Nordic knit and lifestyle magazine. The intention behind the name Grace was to inspire and unify. Two years later, our world has changed dramatically. More than ever before, it is imperative that we extend grace to ourselves and to others.
Wouldn’t you like to rest your head on a pillow that reminds you to be kind to yourself? I also used budget-friendly yarn and buttons to make this project financially accessible to most makers. The Bernat yarn is made from recycled polyester (making it a sustainable choice), and its nubby texture is super-trendy in interior design right now!
Construction:
This pillow cover is worked in the round ending with a three-needle bind off. Three video tutorial links for the more advanced techniques are included in the pattern.
Size:
Designed for an 18 x 18” (45cm) pillow insert. To make my pillow look extra plush, I used a 20 x 20” (50cm) waterproof insert and polyester yarn and thread so that I could use the pillow on my outdoor sofa.
