The Gradient Hat and Scarf knits up a worsted weight yarn into a chunky, cozy set by holding the yarn not double, but triple! With three strands of yarn to work with, a gradient effect is achieved by gradually switching out a single strand at a time to make seven color zones that gradually transition from blue to grey to white. Both items are worked flat in a simple broken rib. The hat is seamed at the back and topped with an optional three color pompom. Without complicated stitch patterns to memorize and fuss over, this set will work up in no time.
