NOTES
This garment can be worn as a cardigan with 8-10” positive ease, or as a modern, boxy jacket with 12-18” positive ease. Choose the appropriate size to knit according to how you’d like to wear it.
The signature design detail of this garment is the deep, folded bands of stockinette at the hem and pocket edging, and reverse stockinette at the sleeve cuffs and outer pockets.
The fronts and back of the garment are knit flat from the bottom-up and seamed. The reverse stockinette outer face of the pocket is cleverly knit inside-out, in the round contiguously with the lining, yielding a completely seamless join between the hem band, both sides of the pocket, and the body above. The sleeves are picked up along the armhole edge and knit in the round from the top down. The front opening and neckline are finished with a wide double knit vertical band, which is knit separately and sewn on.
