Grandma's Girl (Bonnet)
The bonnet is inspired by my grandma and her love for everything beautiful, practical, and no-fuss. The bonnet is reversible, knit as one piece starting with the straps and neck hemming, continued with all-over flower stitches, and grafted with Kitchener stitch at the end
Knitting level: Intermediate
Skills required: making increases (m1L, m1R), Kitchener stitch
Size: baby (toddler, child)
To fit: 3-6m (12-18m, 2-3yo)
Yarn: DK/Light worsted weight yarn /250 yards per 100 g
Yarn used: Dharma Trading Gaia Worsted 100% Organic Merino Wool
Yardage: 78 (103, 142) yards
Needles: 24” circular needles and DPNs in size needed to obtain the gauge for Flower St Pattern (suggested size: US 4)
Gauge: 18 sts x 28 rows = 4” x 4” in flower stitch pattern after wet-blocking
Notions: tapestry needle, stitch marker
