Granny Flair Shawl
If you can crochet a granny square — and anyone can! — you can make this generous shawl. Really! It’s got a vintage, retro, funky vibe and it’s a satisfying project, good for all seasons. Or use a self-striping yarn to make a cowl — the cowl instructions are a bonus included with the pattern download.
Finished Dimensions
Shawl: 27” deep and 57” wide, after blocking
Cowl: 27” deep and 36” circumference, after blocking
Gauge
For the Shawl: 5 granny clusters (each cluster is 3 dc in
same st) = 4”
For the Cowl: 4 1/2 granny clusters (each cluster is 3 dc in
same st) = 4”

For the shawl: Merry Merino 140 by Kremke Soul Wool: 2 skeins of main color; 1 skein each of 4 contrast colors (shown in MC: Coffee 06, CC1: Brass 14, CC2: Light Teal 19, CC3: Pumpkin 08, and CC4: Beige 02
For the cowl: Edition 3 by Schoppel Wolle: 4 skeins (shown in Domino 2100)
Size H (5 mm) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
