Granny Jewel Blanket
A gorgeous crochet blanket made up of simple, relaxing granny squares that are perfect for portable crochet. Each square can be made at your own pace, then joined together and finished with a cream border that neatly frames the colours.
I used Stylecraft Jewelspun yarn for the squares, a variegated yarn that creates beautiful color changes without needing to change yarns. Jewelspun is slightly lighter than a typical worsted weight, so I used a DK weight yarn in cream for the borders and joining to ensure a good match. The result is a colorful, cohesive blanket with lovely stitch definition and minimal ends to weave in.
