A cute cup cosy that is both fun and functional. This cosy uses Granny Spike St, which whips up quickly and can be used to make so many different patterns (from chevron to spots and more). Perfect for using up yarn scraps. Great for market stall stock and for thoughtful gifts.
Use any DK / 8 ply / Cat. 3 weight yarn - ~15-20g/0.5-0.7Oz per cosy. Any fibre / yarn that is easy to wash and does not readily pill is suitable (such as cotton, cotton blends, easy wash wool, and non-pill acrylic). Note, however, that some acrylic yarns will stretch over time.
Included in pattern pdf are a number of colour sequence pattern options (including those for chevron and spots), images for the Granny Spike St, and three optional flower appliques.
The free pattern version (on The Crochet Fix Blog) includes the basic instructions and colour sequence pattern options.
Pair with a matching Granny Spiked My Beanie beanie for an extra cute matching gift.
