Granny Square Mason Jar Cozy + more
I carry drinks in my mason-jar (with its Cuppow lid) everywhere I go, and this spunky granny square cozy protects my hands when I’ve got a steaming hot drink (and keeps it warm longer), and absorbs condensation from cold ones. It also tells the world that I’m a crocheter, and proud of it!
I didn’t list yardage in the pattern details, because very little is needed, and the amounts will vary depending on how many colors you use. It’s a perfect stash-buster (any worsted-weight yarn will do), as you can use all those leftover odd balls and make every round a different color! This cozy has a solid bottom too.
This pattern is part of my online video workshop Gaga for Granny Squares, which will teach you how to make these classic crochet motifs, and a few ways to join them. Also included in the pattern PDF are instructions for a baby blanket, a bunting and a pillow sham.
$4.95 is the price for a month’s subscription with Creativebug (the pattern is in the downloadable PDF). By subscribing to Creativebug monthly, you get unlimited access to over 200 (with more being added weekly) workshops with independent designers, artists and teachers. This will also allow you to download the patterns for all workshops offered.
