Granny squares are lovely not only for blankets but for garments too! And for cute baby garments they are just wonderful! Rompers are great for photo shoots, but also to keep your baby warm and comfy. It can be worn over a long sleeve body.
For a tiny newborn, you can use a smaller crochet hook or lighter yarn, you can make shorter straps too.

approx. 288 (336, 432) m or 315 (367, 472) yards of any DK weight yarn in main color and very small amount in two contrasting colors

Suggested yarn: Rico Essentials Merino DK, 100% Merino Wool, 50g (1.8oz) / 120m (131yds)
• crochet hook 3.5mm or size needed to obtain gauge
• 2 buttons (approx.. 1.8cm)
• Tapestry needle
• 2 stitch markers

19sts and 20rows in sc to measure 10x10cm or 4x4in
