Granny Square to Rectangle Blanket
Pattern Overview: The Granny Square to Rectangle Blanket consists of 60 individual rectangles that are sewn together before a simple granny stitch border is added.
Finished Size: Approximately 110 cm × 115 cm (43 in × 45 in).
Adjusting the Size of the Blanket: This blanket is easily customisable – you can make it larger or smaller by adding or removing rectangles. You will need to adjust the yarn quantities if you are going to do this.
Gauge:
1 rectangle made as per pattern = 15.5 cm x 10 cm (6 in x 4 in) (unblocked).
Gauge is not critical for this project, but differences in gauge will affect the finished size and the amount of yarn required.
Crochet Skills Required:
A simple pattern using chains, UK treble and half treble crochet stitches.
Knowledge of basic crochet stitches, techniques and terminology is assumed.
Using a magic ring to start the motif (although not essential for the pattern).
Sewing rectangles together using a whip stitch.
