This is a half size to the pencil case designed especially for Yarnstravaganza run by UK Hand Knitting between 17 and 24 September 2022, a nationwide celebration of yarn shops across the UK. The pouch is made up of just two granny squares joined together and then attached by crochet to a zip with a fabric lining. Instructions for all aspects are provided. All instructions are in American US terms.

Difficulty
You will need to be able to do a single, double crochet and slip stitch. The lining is machine sewn in the instructions (but can be hand sewn) and is attached to the zip before being inserted into the crocheted pencil case and joined with crochet.

Yarn and Notions
Double knitting yarn (light worsted / 8 ply) approximately 30g / 90 meters / 98 yards in total across the colours for the granny and the joining. You can use acrylic or cotton yarn, it’s up to you.
