Granny Squares Crochet Blanket
by Anita Mundt
Modern granny squares in variegated yarn give Anita Mundt’s blanket a distressed look, and the bonus is that you don’t need to keep changing colours (not til the very end anyway).
Everything about this pattern has been kept simple in order to show off the cool yarn effect. Because of this, the blanket hooks together quickly. The first four rounds of the granny square are crocheted in one of the coloured, variegated yarns. The final (fifth) round of every square is crocheted in cream (Calico). The colour layout is totally random.
Granny squares: each block measures approx 14cm (5.5” square) when blocked.
