Caroline Birkett has played with twisted stitches to create attractive textures on this tank top. The lower body is worked in a wide rib which incorporates columns of twisted stitches, while above the bust is a contrasting rick rack check pattern. The armhole and neck edgings, meanwhile, use a two-colour slip stitch pattern.

Caroline’s top is knitted in the round to the armholes, then the front and back are worked separately. She has used Cascade’s 220 Aran yarn, which comes in a huge choice of colours.
