A pretty and feminine filet triangular crochet shawl that works up quickly, using beginner stitches (Ch, HDC, DC, SC, Sl St), to construct the delicate triangle lace motif and solid repeats. Finish with one of the border options, or with a delicate yarn fringe.
This shawl can be made with yarn of any weight/ply and fiber, however I recommend using a yarn that yields a soft and lacy drape.
For a light weight shawl, suitable for Spring and Summer, use a 3-5 ply cotton or cotton blend yarn. For a warmer shawl try 8 ply wool or acrylic/wool blend.
I recommend that you swatch with several different sized hooks to determine which hook size will provide a soft and lacy drape with your chosen yarn and tension.
The pattern includes a diagram for the first 18 rows. This diagram is intended to supplement to the written pattern but not replace it.
Please note:
- This shawl can be resized and made with less or more than 1000m of yarn by adjusting the number of repeats.
- This shawl pattern is on sale for 50% off until 11.59pm Mon 01/02/2021.
- The pattern for the shawl is also available for free on my blog (minus diagrams, stitch count explanation and repeats explanation).
