Gray Street
A squishy, cozy cowl, perfect for gift making (or for yourself!), Gray Street is knit in the round with bulky-weight yarn (in multi-colors to create a gradient effect) and features a simple, textured twisted rib stitch pattern with options for a short-style or long, infinity-style.
The long version uses 3 colors and the short version uses 2 colors (although you can use more if you prefer). My original Gray Street cowl used shades of neutrals/gray (hence the name!) But your own Gray Street can be “Green Street”, “Blue Street”, “Orange Street” – any color combo you want!
Yarn kits are available through Ewe Ewe Yarns! https://eweewe.com/products/gray-street-cowl-yarn-kit
Pattern is full of visual tutorials and includes a tips page, so it’s perfect for more beginner knitters looking to expand their skills beyond the basic knit and purl stitches. Or if you’re a more advanced knitter, you’ll enjoy this as a relaxing project to work on while watching TV or chatting in your knitting group.
PATTERN INFORMATION:
Sizes: short (long)
Gauge: approx 15 sts & 20 rnds = 4”/10 cm in twisted 1x1 rib in the rnd after blocking*
* Exact gauge is not critical. The twisted rib st patt is stretchy (and will expand after blocking) and so exact gauge isn’t crucial (but may impact yarn usage).
