This pattern was the result of me wanting to make a bag that was beyond the basic mesh bag.

To throw another element in, I wanted a project that would be 100% customizable, so anyone could take my basic pattern and create something that suits their own needs. I will include a basic chart and pattern but I’m also going to give you the “recipe” you simply pick and choose what you want to do with it as well.

The recipe includes the option to make this bag one color or two, so make it a large tote style bag or something smaller in diameter, like a nice gift bag for a bottle of wine. In addition, this is a pattern I use to teach with, so if your an expert follow the color and stitch charts, but if you are new to crochet and can make a double crochet, there is enough detail in the pattern to walk you thru making this bag.

I made a full sized tote with two balls of yarn in one color. I was playing yarn chicken when I made this bag in two colors, so I’d suggest buying two skeins of each color for two tones bags.
