Greetings Cardigan
This garment is knit holding 5 different colored-strands of lace weight yarn together, creating a marled effect. The garment is designed with a large gauge for a quick knit, and lots of positive ease for an oversized, comfy fit. The warm and fuzzy yarn makes this cardigan the perfect way to welcome winter. This pattern is meant to be utilized as a blueprint to help guide you in creating your garment.

8 sts and 13 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch on larger needles, blocked

TECHNIQUES: Tubular cast on with waste yarn, picking up stitches, German Short Rows.

NOTES:
The body of the sweater is knit bottom-up in one piece until the splitting of the underarms. Fronts and backs are worked individually. Shoulders are seamed. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves which are then worked in the round.

Shoulder shaping uses german short rows, but your favorite short row method can be substituted. Edging can also be easily substituted with desired cast-on/bind-off.
Shoulders are knit with an additional strand of worsted weight yarn for structure and stability.
A vertically knit button band can be attached at the end.
Sleeves are not shaped until the wrist. Keep track of BOR using a marker.
