Every Columbus Day weekend a great community hike happens up the side of Mt. Greylock called the Ramble. As a teenager I can remember making that climb and marveling at how vibrant and green the small plants and mosses were against the rocky mountain side, even as fall was settling into her warmer shades. This hat is long and loose enough to pull it down over your ears and fold up the brim for extra coverage, or slip it back above your forehead and wear it slouchy style.
