Grid Slipover
The Grid slipover was designed for Fleck Bulky yarn by Woolfolk. This yarn is a timeless tweed in bulky weight, with a lofty chainette construction and cloud-like softness. When I got my hands on this modern yarn, I immediately envisioned a primitive-looking vest using Woven stitch. This design would work for different body shapes, sizes and all styles. Using mainly 10 mm US 15 needles makes the knitting very quick and easy. The back of the vest is knit first with increases, then the front stitches are picked up separately along each shoulder, then joined after the V-neck slope shaping. The back and front are joined at the underarms and knit in the round, then separated again to be worked until the hem.
