“Grillé aux laines” scarf pattern plays with pleats that create a three layers fabric which is closed at regular intervals.

Only once the scarf is finished and blocked, the pleats are sewn together two by two, to obtain a geometrical pattern of alternate “openings” revealing the background color.

The use of two contrasting colors have been intended to accentuate the depth an therefore thickness of the scarf.

Even if it might look a “pro knitter” pattern, in reality the scarf is knitted flat using simple techniques as: slipped and twisted stitches and intarsia.

In any case, as usual, there are video tutorials on how to do it.

The scarf has been thought to be worn wrapped around your neck or like a tuxedo one.
