A lovely, soft Grit baby hat knitted in Baby Merino XL.

The hat is knitted back and forth from the bottom up in a pattern.

Pattern Information:
The hat is worked bottom up with a pattern. The top of the hat is worked in rib and stockinette st with decreases. The ears are worked at the end and are finished off with the ties.
Sew a pompom on to the top of the hat.

Explanation:
Knit 3 together: slip 2 stitches knitwise together, knit 1, pass the 2 slipped stitches over the 1 knitted stitch.
NB​ It isn’t a “Knit 2, Purl 2 rib”, but a shifted rib, due to the odd number of stitches.

  • 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3) balls of 50 g Baby Merino XL col. 16
  • Single pointed needle size 3,5 mm (US4)
  • Crochet hook size 3 mm (US C/2) for the ties.
  • Pompon w/button, Grey, 10 cm

100% merino wool / 50 g = 105 m
