From the book: Create a funky look with a traditional stitch. The secret lies in the unusual - but easy - joining technique.

The pattern specifies: Worsted-weight acrylic yarn, approximately:

  • 6 oz (340 yards / 311 meters) light coral, A

  • 16 oz (905 yards / 828 meters) coral, B

  • 18 oz (1020 yards / 933 meters) jade, C

Gauge: granny square = 6.5” / 16.5 cm

The afghan is made from 20 granny squares of 6 rounds each. The squares are joined in four strips, with 8 rounds worked on the joined strip; then the strips are assembled, and a two-round border is added. The pattern begins on page 7.
