These mitts are worked from the hem through a long ribbed cuff, and feature a gusseted thumb for ease of movement. The back of the hand has a wide winged lace pattern, and the palm and thumb are worked in stockinette.

If you choose to substitute yarn, choose a light DK that works up to a sportweight gauge.

Gryphons are mythical creatures who have the body of a lion, and the head, claws and wings of an eagle. This pattern is available both as a standalone as well as part of the year-long Mythical Creatures club from Wooly Wonka Fibers.
