Guinea Linen is a large right triangle shawl that takes advantage of the magical properties of three-color linen stitch with the colors weighted in 2:1 proportions. I used a softer black and white combination of Steadfast and New Hope to realistically capture the colors of guinea fowl, but any highly value-contrasting pair of colors would work well. (Think light and dark.)

Yarn: 3 skeins of Barker Wool BFL Fingering,
1 in New Hope and 2 in Steadfast.

Finished Measurements: approximately 70” W x 28” D.

Needles: US size 8 (5 mm) on a 24” cable for the body of the shawl, and US size 6 (4.0 mm) for the bind off,
or needle sizes needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 26 STS x 32 rows = 4” x 4” in linen stitch

Additional Equipment: A scale that weighs in grams.
