This is a quick and easy knit for an absolute beginner knitter. The hat can be made either seamlessly in the round or knitted flat and seamed. Only basic stitches are used.
Four sizes are included: A (0 – 3 months), B (3 – 6 months), C (6 – 9 months) and D (9 – 12 months).
Materials: One 50g ball of sport or light DK weight wool yarn, or DK weight cotton and one set of 3.75mm needles – either 80cm (or longer) circulars (for knitting the hat in the round by the magic loop method) or straight needles (if knitting the hat flat). Note that the core on the crown will require a circular needle or two double pointed needles.
6 place markers and a tapestry needle are also required.
