Gypsy Shawl
This simple garter stitch shawl is designed to accentuate handspun yarn but could easily be made with a fingering wgt commercial sock yarn. The tulip shaping ensures the shawl will stay on your shoulders and the repeats and lace stitching are simple yet beautiful - a great first shawl knitting project or project on the go. The simple stitch work lends itself beautifully to handpainted/handspun yarns.
