Made using clever helical stripes Hadlow is designed to use up those odd skeins that you’ve been hoarding. Basically, it’s inspired by my yarn buying habits…….. we’ve all been there…….

You know the feeling, you visit a yarn shop or a show and although you’re trying to resist all the pretty yarns, sometimes one just jumps out at you and you have to have it, without a second’s thought as to what you might actually use it for. Because you don’t know what you’ll make with it and you don’t really need any more yarn, you just buy the one skein, because you were meant to be on a yarn diet, but one little skein doesn’t count, right?

Fast forward a couple of years and you have a whole box full of those ‘just one skein’ purchases and no idea of what to do with them. There’s not enough of any of them to make a project with, but because you always buy the same sort of colours there are a few that look good together.

That’s where this cowl comes in. With just 100 - 200 grams of any yarn from Sport to Chunky weight in two colours (50 - 100 grams of each colour), you can make a lovely cowl that makes the most of your fabulous yarns!

The surprisingly simple but magically effective helical stripes ensure that there is no need to weave in lots of ends and help you use up every last scrap of gorgeous yarn. A choice of two cast on, cast off and rib options allow you to personalise your cowl to suit you.
